UDS-N: Days End

Today has been an interesting day for me. I have been exposed to a great deal of information and been a first-hand witness to how the community development process works. Its an amazing experience to see people sitting around in groups all using Ubuntu Linux.

Participating with Canonical employees and community members working on defining the steps to take to keep Ubuntu moving forward. The artwork / design team decided to take a data driven approach. They are going to produce a survey and then analyze the results to determine the best way to improve the process of getting artwork and design input from the community. I also go to talk with Ivanaka about potentially inviting professors at universities to work in tandem with the Canonical design team.

I missed the first day due to issues with my flight, so this has been an incredible first day for me. I am very impressed with the Canonical staff and Ubuntu community members all working to make a better Ubuntu experience for everyone.

Just want to point out I’m in the picture illustrating this, and I’m not using Ubuntu, but openSUSE😉 Don’t know about the others…

Vincent — sorry – being that it was a ‘top secret’ meeting I did not get a look at the actual OSes running. At least we are all running Linux.

  2. Just wanted to say “THANK YOU!” For posting photos and quick entries. It makes attending remotely easier🙂
