Playing with The GIMP – Blue Planet

I decided to fiddle a bit with The GIMP and take a break from making a new LUG Logo. I used to like rendering planets and such using Corel Photopaint and decided to give it a shot with The GIMP.

Well, the only thing I can notice that might be bad is at the bottom of the planet where the light halo cuts off isn’t a smooth curve like at the top pole. Other than that, WOW! I would love to know how this was done.

Great, you should pick up a licence to share it (one of the creative commons licence for an exemple)
